There are people with faith in supernatural power and people who has faith in natural power. As you are aware its the former that holds the majority. The study of religion and its origin in a small way has taught the lesson that, they are created with sole intention, making people to go in leading their life in single path.  One of the purpose is to bring the fear into the mind of people, fear that someone is watching from above the sky. Fear that any wrong doing will lead to punishment from him. People in power or command created the what is right and wrong. They also postulated the punishments that people will get if they don’t follow the law of religion.

Ok this post is not about how did it originate or how did they make rules for religion. This is about the others the non-believers or the way i would call them “people with faith in natural power”. If someone has to deny that the religion is also about faith in nature i would beg to differ, since almost everything ends with a supernatural power for religions.

For many centuries or even from the beginning of times these nature believers existed among the supernatural believers. At many times in history these people need to wear masks on them ,so as to ensure their survival. The supernatural believers belief has grown to wrong propositions that they started demanding or even demolishing the natural believers to comprehend to their belief system. Some point in time they were even called as evil beings. But amidst all these natural believers existed to this day of the world.

Even today in place like India it is very tough to be able to convince people not to interfere in their belief system. Every single person i have spoken will start of a debate with me, while all i want is to portray my view on the belief. Most of them try to make me into believe the supernatural power. People call these people atheist and some even cant understand why they don’t believe.

All of them say you will understand it in later part of life,i mean really why? there were people from many generations who have been nature believers or atheist as they call. I call myself as Self Respecting person not the atheist nor theist . I am happy with my belief and i ask other people also to be happy with the choice they made and not to interfere mine.

Well all i wanted to do in this post is to pour in my thoughts and frustration on this topic.Period.

Long have i wondered why the directors in indian language movies never make a movie, which does not have a concept of hero and his lover ,for any kind of story. Well i atleast have a answer partially answered now.

One of the main reason with respect to regional language movies having same type of story is the lack in trust for viewers intelligence. Long has there been debate on this and many good filmakers arguing that its a excuse given by other for lack in their risk taking capability.

If you take a look at some of the movies with very good story and amazing performance, they have consistently been flop in box office, they later become good movie after critics review. One of best example in that kind is movie “Anbe Sivam”  i don’t even know that movie was released in my town,as it was shown for just 3 days. But it later on became best movie acted by kamal hassan ,only next to nayagan. So i see the point why many talented director are still hanging on to the same old line.

Ok why am i whining about this now, today i went to a tamil movie called “Madrasapattinam” well its not a great new story the same old love story with parents of girl opposing it and a villan. There difference here was the movie is set in 1947 so point was to capture viewers in that worl while you let pass the sotry along with it. While the screenplay was commendable,i will give 2/5 for the movie just for one reason, there were few scenes copied from hollywood hits. A scene from titanic in which the flashback ends with eyes of actress.,another was from apocalypto where hero runs for his life while police shooting at him.Its such a nice movie spolied by these copied scenes while i am sure the director could have come up with better one.

Ok coming back to the point, there was a scene during the climax where actress(old lady) faints of and her eye closes. The screen is blacked out to represent it from actress eyes while the audio was heard from other speaking to her. While this happened almost all in the theater started shouting towards projector room for black out thinking its his mistake. People could not even relate to such a simple scene, how will they even understand if the movie is made without typical hero heroin mix.

I agree if you say that someone has to bear the initial loss for future welfare but then creators should be producers ,that is the reason we still get some good movies occasionally. Until then we have to be happy with “3 fights,5 songs mix some sentiment and comedy”

My fascination towards books started in second year of PUC(+2). When i was in school there was nothing called library. I only had access to my dads office library which has no recent books. The only books that were available in there were some old Tamil novel and computer books.  I read my first novel after hearing a lot about the writer sujatha. If I remember correctly my first novel is called “iyanthiramanithan”. Then I went on to read one more book of the same author ,his other books were always busy in circulation and since i am not a member there i was not given any preference for those books.

After joining the college, first year was very busy without any interest in anything, I bought Abdul kalam’s autobiography “agni siragukal” ,but did not read it completely yet. Then later part of second year my reading was only in field of computer science, virtually i had read most of the things students used to in computer science subject. My both library card were always full and at times i lend books out from my friends library card. After i joined in the job, i had few of the things i need to do ,when i get my salary ,one of it was to buy good books at regular intervals. I know i will not read all of them ,but still i wanted to buy and keep. I sure know that i will study them all one day.

After that it has been constant buying and reading, i bought books with varying subjects , right from philosophy, romance, spiritual, thriller, etcetera etcetera. I counted the no of books i have in my shelf now and i find that there are around 32. This does not include the computer science and other college books. Out of this 32 i have completely read only 4 books, all other books i have read at least 10-20 pages in each. I have never found any of it boring ,but just that its my habit. I am amazed at the no of books i see in landmark whenever i enter into it. Its kind of keeps telling myself that how little we know and hoe much  is out there to learn about. May be that is my never ending quest to attain the knowledge, infinity.

My latest reading is Sophie’s World by Jostein Gaarder, its about philosophy,i have crossed more than 70 pages which clearly indicates i have read more than my usual limit.Let me see if i can finish things off with this book.

I have few books in my mind that i should buy in future. I have listed the books that i have already with me. Please leave a comment on the book that you would like me to read or you liked.

PS: I don’t always write on useful things. Sometime i might be interesting ,most of the times boring, but i cant help it :)

I am not good at writing about social issues around the country and i feel i am not eligible to do that, but still wanna write about it this time. It was a lousy day of work in my Home Office. I was just waiting for time to touch somewhere near 5.30PM so i can log off and go for a small walk. After 5.30PM i logged off for the day and took a shower and got ready for a small walk. I usually go to same place i used to like near by pond and sit around for sometime and come back. Today also i did same but after some time spent in pond i took another small walk in different route than usual. One the highway i found many small temporary huts most probably that came in recently.

It was around 6.30PM by then and Night took over the Daylight . Street lights were ON and i saw little children off age 8-10 sitting in circle near the street light ,for their daily homework and study. They were children  from those hut where there is no power and hence came to the street light for study. It might be a common sight in many Indian town/city slum area. They were having their share of education only because of two reasons, one education is free in government school and two is they get free Mid Day meal at school. This encourages their parents to send them to school so they don’t have to bother about one meal of the day.

I spoke to those kids and they were very enthusiastic and they even know about internet, google etc. One thing i found in common with all of them are they are very happy to goto school ,though they live in miserable conditions. They are optimistic about their life. I was thinking how the other day a neighbour of mine was talking about how less salary he take home in comparison to his class mate who did same course as him. Of course its each person perspective on money and happyness. But come to think of why we are not satisfied can never be answered in true sense.

I am a positive person myself, but still there are times ,when i think of negative side of things. After meeting this kids i was just challenging myself can you be satisfied and happy in things that you do and have for atleast 60% as this kids do. If i can achieve it then i will consider myself to be a better person.

I agree everyone will have their point of view and their take on this,i just want to put my side of thinking. Please feel free to comment on your view. Being Happy is based on how you define happyness.

PS: I might update this post soon!

I am a hardcore windows user.If you ask me i havent worked anything other than this OS completely. Though i can say i worked in MS-Dos for basic C programming and MVS/OS 390 for my offical stuff nothing other than this had taken my time out for thinking about it.

I have never had a Desktop Myself. I learnt programming through college computer and after i joined a job i was fortunate to get a laptop in first month itself(many of my friends wanted one, later they got to know what a piss it is). So the requirement to buy a desktop was never there, so all those in college and office are pre loaded with windows and i cannot undo it to have anything else loaded. I had a big urge to have a hands on linux and was hearing a lots of stories but simply i cant since i don’t have a PC for myself.

Of late my cousin bought a PC and i had a chance to install both windows and Linux(ubuntu). But couldnt go out there to work more on it. And god there it crashed off in some months. I wanna have my techy side refreshed ,of late may be for a year and half , i have kept away myself from the latest happenings in computer world. I am gonna try and catch up. There is a lot that i wanna try out right from visual studio 2008 , ubuntu ,windows new GUI platform etc,,etc.,,.

Hope i keep my interest going and find new things out there..ok why am i posting it??

just that i wanna say what i wanna say!
